Creative Arts

Dance, Creative Writing, Art, Vocal, & Musical Theater

Garden of Hope believes in providing children with the opportunity to practice and develop their creativity. Our creative purpose is to stimulate and engage a child’s imagination with activities such as art, dance, drama, puppetry, and music. Creative arts provide an outlet for young children to explore and gain control over their emotions and stimulates the part of the brain that controls gross motor skills. Theater, dramatic play, and role playing, are all especially suited to developing children’s emotional abilities.  We believe that creative arts engage children across all domains- including cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical.

Dance is the universal language of the world. It’s a means of expression without words. To be able to tell a story through movement or to have the ability to use dance as an outlet.

Gina Gold knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up. Gina has trained at multiple dance companies and conservatories throughout South Florida and continued on to competing in numerous dance competitions. As a young adult, she danced for the Miami Marlins where she went on to perform with multiple Miami based artists. For over 25 years, Gina has trained in many different dance styles ranging from ballet, pointe, and hip hop to lyrical, tap, salsa and more. Gina lives on the Treasure Coast now where she continues to do what she loves by sharing her passion and knowledge of dance with today’s youth.

Musical Theater & Vocal

Musical Theater is a combination of

drama and vocal. We will learn the different aspects to portray emotions and act on the spot. Learning the aesthetics of a play and fully understanding how to become a specific character will help students understand the importance of stage presence. Vocal instructions will focus on how to produce the correct notes with instruments or without music, which is called A-cappella. We will learn proper vocal terms to continue to expand vocality.

Jasmine Walker is a fabulous instructor. She has obtained an AA degree in Arts with an emphasis in elementary education. She continues to express her passion for teaching through instructing vocal classes for adults and youth. Jasmine has 10 years of singing experience and 3 years of experience providing vocal instruction.

Creative writing is a form of artistic expression. It draws on the imagination to convey meaning through the use of imagery, narrative, dance, and drama. creative writing encompasses many types of writing. Art and Creative Writing makes you step out of reality and into a new realm inspired by your own imagination.
